Both SLU-PP-915 and SLU-PP-332 improved ejection fraction, reduced fibrosis and increased survival after pressure overload without reducing cardiac hypertrophy, and the authors saw no overt toxicity at 25 mg/kg over the six weeks. This is a vendor claim: the vendor lists SLU-PP-915 as 10 mg GMP capsules marked coming soon for exercise-mimetic pathway research and states no dosing. No human dose exists to compare it with; a straight per-kilogram conversion of the 20 mg/kg mouse dose would be 1.4 g for a 70 kg adult, and animal doses do not translate to people in any case. The capsule format also presumes oral absorption, which the 2026 paper reports in mice only.

Overview

SLU-PP-915 is a synthetic small molecule from the Saint Louis University programme that produced SLU-PP-332, designed as a pan-agonist of the three estrogen-related receptors that switch on mitochondrial and fatty acid oxidation genes in muscle and heart. Unlike SLU-PP-332 it carries a boronic acid group that gave it better metabolic stability and oral bioavailability, and in mice it has increased treadmill running capacity and protected the heart in a pressure-overload model of heart failure. Every published study is in mice or cells; there is no human study, no registered trial and no approval, yet it is listed by vendors as 10 mg capsules.
