Technique tutorials

Four written lessons: reconstitution, syringe measurement, pen setup and nasal pumps. Each step has a checkpoint, and no account is needed to follow along.

A vial of lyophilized peptide, a vial of bacteriostatic water and a U-100 insulin syringe on a pale surface.

Reconstitution: preparing the vial

Check the vial, add the correct mixing liquid and record what changed after the vial was prepared.

Step 1 of 7Syringe

Check the vial and instructions

Follow these actions
  1. Confirm the compound name, the total amount printed on the vial, the required mixing liquid and the final liquid volume.

  2. These should match the calculator result before you open anything.

Before you continue

The vial label, preparation instructions and calculator show the same name, amount and units.

Stop conditions

Stop if the label cannot be read, the correct mixing liquid is not listed, or any value came from instructions for a different product.

Safety boundary

Use only the mixing liquid, preparation steps and storage rules provided for that exact product. The calculator cannot tell you whether a mixture is sterile, compatible, stable or safe to keep.
